NS MIDI Player is free, and doesn't have ads, subscriptions, or data collection. You can play standard MIDI files — both type 0 and type 1 — that have file extensions .mid, .midi, and .kar. The General MIDI and GS standards are supported with the included default SoundFont. Or you can use your own SoundFonts — the SF2 and DLS formats are supported. Customizable reverb makes your MIDI files sound better than ever. And you can export your MIDI files as audio.*↓ So you can hear them the way they were meant to be heard.
NS MIDI Player supports background audio playback and AirPlay. You can control it from anywhere, including the Lock Screen, Control Center, and Apple Watch. And you can connect to your MIDI devices with Core MIDI and Bluetooth MIDI.*↓
With NS MIDI Player, you can open MIDI files from almost any app, including Safari, the Files app, and the Finder. Drag-and-drop is supported, too. NS MIDI Player works with the Files app on iPhone and iPad, so you don't have to tinker with Apple Music or iTunes to get your MIDI files on your device. Practicing an instrument? Playback speed control with tap tempo makes it easy to speed up or slow down a MIDI file to your liking. You can share MIDI files straight from the app to any other app that opens them. And you can preview MIDI files with Quick Look.
Upgrading to the full version gets you the ability to export MIDI files as audio, connect to MIDI devices, and queue multiple songs — all in a one-time in-app purchase shared across all of your devices.
Requires iOS 17.2, iPadOS 17.2, macOS 14.2, or newer
